Health & Nutrition

For thousands of years, tea drinkers have been enjoying tea for its refreshing flavour and potential medicinal properties. It was not until recently, however, that scientific research revealed the many ways the antioxidants in tea can benefit the body, including protecting the heart and liver and helping the body protect itself against cancer.

Green Tea is a Natural Health Product and has been recognized by Health Canada for its role in maintaining good health. Green tea is good for your body because it naturally contains a very powerful class of antioxidants that are effective at combating the harmful molecules known as “free radicals.” When left unchecked, free radicals build up in the body, which can ultimately compromise the body’s well-being. By taming free radicals, antioxidants help to maintain the body’s good health. These antioxidants, known as flavonoids also help support a healthy cardiovascular system.

Celestial Seasonings makes getting a healthy dose of antioxidants a pure pleasure with an abundance of healthful green teas—pure and simple unflavoured teas, teas flavoured with fruits and herbs, and caffeinated and decaffeinated varieties. So savour a cup of health! To learn the details, read on. But first, you may want to make yourself a cup of tea—you’ll be glad you did.
