Rooibos

For centuries, South Africans have enjoyed rooibos or "red" tea for its refreshing flavour and healthful properties. Rooibos ("red bush" in Afrikaans) tea is made from the twigs and leaves of the rooibos bush that grows naturally in the dry, sandy soils of the Cedarburg Mountains of South Africa. Our botanical buyers work with the local farmers and other organizations to ensure that we purchase only sustainable cultivated rooibos.
